provides a fully functional source code editor for the
TAU development environment. The editor is based on the
extensible @{L {Jedit} {exec jdoc jedit}}, from Jay Sekora's @{L {JStools} {exec jdoc jstools}} libraries.
Functions for interacting with other TAU tools and
providing TAU-specific editor function are implemented
in the @{L {TAU editing mode} {showHelp spiffy 1.1-taumode 1}}.

@{headingbig {Spiffy File Menu}}

  @{button {Exit}} - Exits Spiffy, querying whether to save
     changes to any open files (unless the
     @{button {Autosave on Close}} option is turned on).

@{headingbig {Spiffy Options Menu}}

  @{button {Tau Global Select}} - This option can be turned on or
     off to choose whether @{L {global selections} {showHelp general 2-gfeatures 1}} made using
     @{L {TAU mode} {showHelp spiffy 1.1-taumode 1}}'s browsing features are propagated to
     the other TAU tools.

  @{button {Autosave on Close}} - This option turns on or off the
     save prompt when closing an unsaved file. If this
     option is turned on, then the save prompt will not
     appear, and the file will be saved automatically.

      Click the @{button {next}} button to view help on the
              @{L {TAU mode editing} {showHelp spiffy 1.1-taumode 1}} features.
